6 How to ghostwrite a simple class supplement
On this page we will share a step-by-step guide on how to ghostwrite a simple class supplement. We have added instructions on how to navigate the process using a popular generative AI platform: Chat GPT. We will also delve into the concept of evaluating these lyrics.

Digital Divide-Reddit users on the use of AI Song generators
There are many AI platforms and applications that can be used to produce song lyrics. However, we will be covering Chat GPT since it was used by the student in the student example and is a popular, free generative AI platform. Here are step-by-step instructions on how to create your own song or writing supplement. Through this guide, you will learn how to craft prompts, evaluate outputs, and refine generated lyrics. Steps for the process have been highlighted below.
Using Chat GPT:
Start by identifying a core theme you would like to express through your lyrics. As an example, we will be generating lyrics to a song on the digital divide through the lens of a Marxist feminist. Keep in mind generating prompts is a process of trial and error, as they need to be tweaked or improved until the desired result is achieved.
Begin by creating a free account on https://chat.openai.com
Once the account has been created, you may start typing out prompts in the chat box.
Interact with the chatbot by feeding the model a basic understanding of your goals. Type, “I am trying to explore ways in which parallels can be drawn between Marxist feminism and the digital divide for a class project.” The model will prompt you by saying it understands the scope and goals of your project. Now, simply start by typing in the prompt “write a song on the digital divide from the point of view of a Marxist feminist.” Typing in the prompt causes the algorithm to generate ideas of lyrics that may fit the defined parameters. Initially produced output may not meet your goals. subsequent processing involves trying to tweak the lyrics to reach a desired outcome. In this case, we would like to explore a more creative output: the response must be more subjective and open to interpretation. Continue by typing in the chat box,” Make the song more creative (no name drops).” This will instruct the algorithm and limit it from being to literal in its lyrics and using names of philosophers associated with the concept (i.e. Marx or Hegel). Based on the response produced, we would now like to change the purpose of the lyrics. Type, “Make it more musical”, to change the purpose of the lyrics since it will be further developed into a song aimed to be sung by a female feminist. This should also prompt the AI to generate a different tone and rhythm for the lyrics.
Finally, you should have produced a usable product. However, feel free to keep prompting the model to produce responses most suited to your needs. You may expand this exercise by asking the model to change specific words in the lyrics produced or humanize the revision to feel more authentic.
Answer the following questions as you evaluate the produced lyrics:
- Did the AI capture your chosen theme?
- Are the lyrics produced creative? If so, how?
- How effective was the AI in generating lyrics that matched your intended structure, tone, and style.
- How does the AI generated output compare to something you would produce. Is it better?
