About the Author

David Crawley is Professor of Practice at the University of Houston Cullen College of Engineering – Information Science Technology department and author/key note speaker for innovation leadership. He is an Innovation Engineering Black Belt certified professional and published analyst for brand creation, management, corporate intelligence, marketing, new product development, and emerging markets. He is appointed by the Dean as a Pathway Professor and elected director of industry relations for the department. In collaboration with Professor Brian Mehring he developed the innovation minor degree program.

David has global experience in managing a diverse portfolio of responsibilities working with PepsiCo, Inc. creating new markets and brands in Italy, Mexico, and the US. In Russia he launched Frito-Lay and served as Deputy Chief Executive Officer for Y&R/Moscow office (Young & Rubicam – world’s largest advertising agency at the time, now called VML). He also pioneered population-based capabilities and global cloud technology introductions with HP. In addition to developing global markets, he worked for 8 years as VP Corporate Intelligence for Idoneous Global Security and Intelligence agency founded by Jim Bernazzani former Deputy Director of Law Enforcement CIA.
