4 Cardinal Numbers
Kendall Diaz
A number that is used in simple counting is called a cardinal number. It indicates how many elements there are in a set.
Cardinal numbers are numbers that we use to count objects. They are different from ordinal numbers that go 1st, 2nd, 3rd, etc. Sometimes people get cardinal and ordinal mixed up. It might help to think of the ordinal numbers showing order and the cardinal numbers showing “how many” of something.
